Most Sustainable Building of its Kind in Southeast USA
The Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design at Georgia Tech aimed to be the most environmentally advanced education and research building on a college campus in the Southeast. The 42,000 square foot building is Living Building Challenge certified, meaning it was built in accordance with what is often described as the world’s most rigorous green building standard. By supplying concrete made with CarbonCure, Thomas Concrete saved more than 40,000 pounds of embodied carbon and earned a Swarm Changemaker Award for their involvement in the project.
